PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pressing device which causes an automatic emergency stop, when the device is activated under the muting state of an area sensor.SOLUTION: A press 1 includes an area sensor 60 which emits stop signal for a lifting slide by detecting that a human body and/or a body matter enters into a predetermined dangerous area. In a state where the area sensor 60 is invalid, when the rotation of a motor 10 is detected, and further, the area sensor 60 detects the entry of the human body and/or the body matter, rotation of the motor 10, that is, lifting of the slide 40 is made to stop. Therefore, runaway accidents can be prevented which are caused by the abnormalities of a drive control system under the area sensor invalid state. |
