PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a self-propelled mower that has a relatively simple structure and an adjustable mowing width, can be used for a curved slope surface, enables pruning work in a high altitude, and is hard to fall down.SOLUTION: A self-propelled mower is constituted of: a self-propelled traveling body having at least one of a storage battery, an electronic generator and an engine built therein; and a plurality of mowing units for cutting grass by the reciprocating motion or turning motion of movable edges using an electric motor or the engine built therein, respectively. The electric motor uses the storage battery or the electric generator as a power supply. The mowing units are projectingly provided at the front surface of the traveling body and at front surfaces of projecting wings projecting toward the sides from the traveling body side face and retractable with variable protruding lengths. This self-propelled mower is suspended from a saddle type traveling member traveling on a guardrail installed on a top of slope of a bank through a suspension rope, or suspended from an aerial cable hung high over. |
