<p>The present invention relates to a method for designing a backup roll of a finishing mill comprising a plurality of stands having a work roll and a backup roll. The method for designing a backup roll of a finishing mill includes: a storing step for measuring and storing an abrasion profile of the backup roll at regular intervals while the backup roll performs a finishing rolling process; a calculating step for calculating an abrasion saturation profile, which is an abrasion profile having the saturated abrasion amount of the backup roll, among the abrasion profiles stored in the storing step; and a designing step for designing the backup roll using the abrasion saturation profile.</p> |
