PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide use of betaine for a de-icing agent and/or anti-skid treatment.SOLUTION: A composition comprises betaine and at least one other de-icing agent, which has been selected from a group consisting of acetates, formates, urea and combinations thereof. The invention also relates to a de-icing agent and/or a method of anti-skid treatment, in which a combination of compounds selected from the group consisting of acetates, formates, urea and combinations thereof, are applied to a slippery surface or a surface vulnerable to slipperiness. The invention further relates to use of betaine for a de-icing and/or anti-skid treatment when betaine is used in combination with at least one other de-icing agent which has been selected from the group consisting of acetates, formates, urea and combinations thereof. |
