The present invention relates to a system which dynamically converts the resolution of a user terminal image according to characteristics of a network channel, transmits the converted resolution to a display device, and displays the transmitted resolution on the display device. A dynamic resolution control system of a transmission image includes: a user terminal which stores a source image; a set-top box which is wirelessly connected with the user terminal; a wireless network channel which forms a data transmission channel between the user terminal and the set-top box; a display device which displays the source image; and a transmission channel quality determining unit which determines wireless network quality based on the data transmission speed measurement result of the wireless network channel. According to an embodiment of the present invention, a dynamic resolution conversion display system and a method thereof for transmitting an image with consideration of the characteristics of a network channel, variably control the resolution of a display which considers the maximum transmission speed arising from the degradation of a wireless network transmission speed in a situation where an intensified frequency overlapping phenomenon is caused by the use of a same channel between wireless networks in the dense space of the wireless networks. An optimal video service is possible by variably controlling the resolution signal of the display device in the set-top box which is connected with a smart device.
