A reflector for a cylindrical fluorescent lamp 2 comprises two part-cylindrical portions 4 which meet, the centres M 1 of the part-circles formed by a reflector cross-section lying inside the lamp and the radius R 1 of each of these circles being greater than the radius and smaller than the diameter of the lamp. The reflectors can be made of thermoplastics such as methylacrylates and polystyrene copolymers provided with totally reflecting coatings. |
