PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a guide roll by which a web small in thickness and having an easy-to-slide surface is transported without occurrence of folded wrinkles, and a web conveyance apparatus equipped with the same.SOLUTION: A guide roll 5 includes a spiral belt 54a arranged on an outer peripheral surface 52a of the guide roll 5, which extends spirally and symmetrically with a center of a rotation axis direction as a boundary. The spiral belt 54a is positioned toward outside of the rotation axis direction as it goes from the center of the rotation axis direction to a rotation direction. The spiral belt 54a has higher friction resistance than other portions of the outer peripheral surface 52a except the spiral belt 54a, and includes a contact region Z which intermittently contacts with a web W at a plurality of portions in the rotation axis direction. The contact regions Z adjacent to each other have a gap in the rotation axis direction between a rotation axis direction outer end of an inner side contact region Z1 positioned inside of the rotation axis direction and a rotation axis direction inner end of an outer side contact region Z2 positioned outside of the rotation axis direction. |
