<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect a range-finding error of a stereo camera in real time.SOLUTION: A range finder 1 includes a stereo camera 10 including a plurality of first imaging lenses 12 and a plurality of first imaging means 13 corresponding to each of the first imaging lenses 12, and a control part 30 which calculates a distance L up to an object 41 based on parallax information between images captured by the respective first imaging means 13. The range finder 1 includes a single eye camera 20 including a second imaging lens 22 and a second imaging means 23. The single eye camera 20 is arranged away from the stereo camera 10 by a predetermined distance d in an optical axis direction. The control part 30 obtains the number of pixels of an object image to be captured by the second imaging means from the calculated distance L, the number of pixels of the object image on the first imaging means 13, and the distance d and, by comparing the obtained number of pixels with the number of pixels of the object image on the second imaging means 23, detects the range-finding error in real time.</p> |
