PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a front protection plate for a display unit with an electrode such that even when a light shield layer provided so as to hide opaque wiring etc., at an outer peripheral part of a touch panel etc., has eaves, a transparent electrode formed extending beyond an eaves part hardly has a disconnection, and a display unit with the same.SOLUTION: An front protection plate 10 for a display unit with an electrode has at least a colored resin layer 3 as a light shield layer 2 on a surface of a translucent substrate 1, and the light shield layer has eaves 2E toward the inside on the side of a display area A1. For the purpose, an eaves elimination layer 4 which has a tilt angle &thetas; of less than 91° and does not have eaves itself is formed in an eaves lower space Sd and an eaves adjacent space Sn, and a transparent electrode 5 is formed on the eaves elimination layer so as to make the transparent electrode hardly have a disconnection at the eaves part. This is combined with a display panel such as a liquid crystal display panel and an EL panel so as to obtain a display unit. |
