PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stereoscopic image display device capable of providing good stereoscopic vision even when viewed from any of a plurality of directions.SOLUTION: A stereoscopic image display device 10 includes; a display panel 12 having pixels 32 which comprises a plurality of sub-pixels 31, each being electrooptic elements compatible with parallax images, and are arranged in a matrix form; and optical means 21 which directs light emitted from the pixels arrayed in first and second directions toward different directions mutually along the first and second directions. The display panel has first and second uncontrollable regions which exist between aperture borders of the sub-pixels and in which electrooptic conversion cannot be controlled. An intersection part between the first and second uncontrollable regions is located on a lattice point which is an intersecting point of line segments of a unit lattice comprising lattice lines. Each of the first or second uncontrollable regions has at least one inflection point inside the unit lattice with respect to a lattice line. |
