PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a focal plane shutter for a camera which is capable of suppressing heat generation when a driving mechanism is actuated and capable of efficiently performing dust prevention for an imaging element.SOLUTION: The focal plane shutter for a camera includes a base plate 1 having an opening 1a, the driving mechanism disposed on the base plate 1 in the area on one side of the opening 1a and allowing a light shielding blade B to perform the opening and closing operation of the opening 1a, a support plate 6 disposed on the driving mechanism in parallel with the base plate 1, and a fan motor 8 attached to the opening-side of the driving mechanism and blowing air from the side of the opening to the side of the driving mechanism. |
