The present invention relates to a method for refining molten metal which includes the steps of preparing a ladle in which molten metal is stored, submerging an agitator into the molten metal, injecting gas from under the ladle to rotate the agitator, allowing initial bubbles generated from the gas injection to be produced as fine bubbles smaller than the initial bubbles, and removing impurities from the molten metal by using the fine bubbles, whereby all kinds of impurities, especially impurities which are hard to remove are easily removed through evaporative refining using the fine bubbles, without having separate materials injected. Accordingly, the refining is conducted without any injection of separate materials, thus reducing the production cost, basically preventing or suppressing the production of inclusions, enabling refinement through a simple combination without any large change in the configuration of a device, and being applicable to a variety of steel melt. |
