The invention relates to a method for designing a common preform for producing a plurality of preforms of guide vanes of a turbine engine outlet, made of a composite material having different geometric profiles, the method including the geometric 3D modeling of the geometric profiles (100) of different preforms of outlet guide vanes, the flattening of each one of the geometric profiles of the different preforms of outlet guide vanes, the stacking of the geometric profiles of the different flattened preforms of outlet guide vanes, and the convergence toward a single geometric profile of a common preform of an outlet guide vane for all the preforms of outlet guide vanes while guaranteeing an identical positioning of upper disconnections and lower disconnections for all the preforms of outlet guide vanes.
