摘要 The present invention relates to an apparatus and a method for generating a path plan of a mobile robot, which generate a path plan by considering the size of obstacles around a mobile robot. The method for generating a path plan of a mobile robot comprises: a database establishing step which classifies and stores various obstacles by certain characteristics; an obstacle detecting step which searches for obstacles positioned in front of a mobile robot during a driving according to a preset path plan, and searches for size information according to the direction information of the obstacles through comparison between images of the obstacles and the database; and a path plan generating step which regenerates the next moving path plan of the mobile robot by considering the size information of the obstacles.
