PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus and a method which enable recovering and utilizing a zinc ingredient and coke powder contained in dust discharged from the cupola furnace body.SOLUTION: A recovery apparatus includes: a first classifier which communicates with a dust discharge port of a cupola furnace body, classifies and recovers extra-large grains having grain sizes of 1 mm or larger and containing at least 50% of coke powder from the dust discharged from the cupola furnace body and returns to the cupola furnace body; and a second classifier 12 which communicates with the downstream side of the first classifier and classifies, from other particles, large grains having grain sizes of several tensμm to 1 mm and containing at least 50% of a zinc ingredient Zn and middle fine grains MS smaller in grain size than the large grains contained in the dust discharged from the first classifier.
