An injection device has a container holder in a medicament container housing; first and second energy accumulating members in the housing; a slidable sleeve; a plunger holder associated with the first energy accumulating member such that the plunger holder and container holder are axially movable toward a proximal end of the device from an initial position to a position following needle penetration; and a plunger rod operationally associated with the second energy accumulating member such that the plunger rod is axially movable toward the proximal end from a locked position to a position following medicament injection. In the initial position, movement of the plunger holder is inhibited by interaction of a first biasable member with the plunger holder, the first biasable member recoiling when overlapped by an opening and/or recess of the sleeve such that the plunger holder is released. |
