PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water-shielding cable which comprises a cable core 1, a water-shielding layer 2 double-wound vertically with a water-shielding tape 2a and a resin sheath 3, causes less wrinkling of the water-shielding tape 2a and has an improved water-shielding function.SOLUTION: A water-shielding layer 2 is formed by winding one water-shielding tape 2a twice by vertical double winding. The double winding of the water-shielding tape 2a secures practically whole-circumferential superposition of the water-shielding tape, eliminating nonuniformity of the water-shielding layer in the circumferential direction and preventing wrinkling of the water-shielding tape even when the cable is bent. The configuration thus prevents cracking and breaking of the water-shielding tape and improves the water-shielding function of the water-shielding tape. |
