The device (1) has a displacing device (5) that separates printed products, and a removing device (4) for conveying away the separated products. The displacing device and the removing device comprises rotating drives (42, 43) independent from each other. The displacing device is arranged below a magazine (3) that accommodates a stack of the printed products. A driver (18) is fastened to a displacing table (7), and a vacuum opening (19) is arranged in the table. The opening is connected with a vacuum source (80). A quick-switching valve (79) is arranged between the opening and the source. An independent claim is also included for a method for separating printed products from a stack.
