Disclosed are an apparatus and method for detaching a film for a flat panel display device. The apparatus for detaching the film for the flat panel display device according to one embodiment of the present invention includes: a substrate inputting unit which inverts and inputs a film attachment substrate with a donor film and a back film assembled on both sides thereof to make the back film face upward; a substrate outputting unit which is arranged on an opposite side to the substrate inputting unit and outputs the substrate from which the donor film and the back film are detached; and a film detaching unit which is arranged between the substrate inputting unit and the substrate outputting unit and detaches the donor film and the back film from the film attachment substrate with the back film facing upward which is horizontally inputted from the substrate inputting unit. |
