PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an oil producing method by recovering oil from heterotrophic algae at a low cost and a high efficiency.SOLUTION: According to the oil producing method, microbial cells of one or more heterotrophic algae selected from the group consisting of Aurantiochytrium, Thraustochytrium, Schizochytrium and Parietichytrium are mixed with an extraction solvent containing a nonpolar organic solvent, without destroying or lysing the cell wall, to extract and collect the oil. |
