The present invention relates to a display, a method for driving the display, and an electronic device, capable of restricting a frame and preventing noise in a scanning line during pausing, whereby a display operation is stropped between the display operations. The display includes a plurality of switches connected with an opposite end portion to a vertical driving circuit connection end portion of the scanning line with which a first or second vertical driving circuit is connected. The switch applies the same potential as that of applied to the scanning line by the first or second vertical driving circuit to the scanning line during pausing whereby the display operation of a horizontal driving circuit is stopped. |
