摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a seawater desalination device which can reduce the amount of electric power consumption. SOLUTION: The seawater desalination device has: a reverse osmosis membrane module 4; a high pressure pump P1; high pressure lines L3, L31, L5; low pressure lines L2, L21, L6; a power recovery device 5 having a switching valve switching a cylinder having inside divided with a movable piston from a cylinder communication path; a first flow amount sensor Q5 detecting the flow amount of desalinated water; a second flow amount sensor Q1 detecting the flow amount of concentrated seawater; a third flow amount sensor detecting the flow amount of seawater supplied to the power recovery device or detecting the flow amount of concentrated seawater sent from the power recovery device; and a control valve V1, disposed at a high pressure line of an inlet side and an outlet side of the power recovery device, for controlling the flow amount to be transported, adjusting the amount of concentrated seawater transported to the power recovery device based on the flow amount detected by the flow amount sensor.
