The present invention relates to a composition for preventing a hangover, healing a hangover, or protecting the liver, wherein the composition contains an aronia extract as an active ingredient. By means of the present invention, alcohol is rapidly decomposed and acete aldehyde, which is generated by the intake of alcohol, is rapidly metabolized, so that a hangover can be prevented or healed, and diseases caused by acete aldehyde including alcohol-damaged hepatocyte can be prevented or alleviated.
