A bearing seal with which it is possible to obtain secure installation by the easy work of simply being fitted into a sealing groove formed in the outer race. First detent ridges (44) and second detent ridges (45) are provided on both surfaces of one side of a band-shaped rubber sealing substrate (42). The one side of the sealing substrate (42) is fitted into a sealing groove (3) formed on the inner circumferential surface of the outer race (1). During said fitting, the first detent ridges (44) and the second detent ridges (45) elastically contact the side surfaces (3a, 3b) of the sealing groove (3) to prevent pull-out and stabilize installation.
