PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To set an EGR valve to be full closed at early timing at time of a request of an engine deceleration driving or acceleration driving to avoid deceleration and misfire or to prevent deteriorated acceleration performance, and promptly release full closing of the EGR valve at a time of returning to another operation request from the request of the deceleration driving or acceleration driving.SOLUTION: An exhaust gas recirculation device of an engine includes: an EGR path 17; an EGR valve 18; an accelerator sensor 27; and an electronic control unit (ECU) 50. The ECU 50 issues an instruction to control the EGR valve 18 to be fully close if determining that a deceleration driving request or an acceleration driving request is issued to an engine 1 by comparing a change amount of an accelerator opening per unit time (accelerator operation speed) with a first predetermined determination value, continues the fully close instruction if determining that the deceleration driving or acceleration driving request continues, and releases the fully close instruction if determining that the deceleration driving or acceleration driving request discontinues and the accelerator opening is larger or smaller than a predetermined second determination value. |
