The inverter circuit has two inputs to which direct current (DC) voltage sources (Ea,Eb) are connected respectively. An intermediate circuit is provided with four different potentials (V1-V5). A DC/alternating current (AC) conversion unit (2) converts DC link voltage into AC voltage. The conversion unit has a switching unit (4) on the input side of the potentials and is connected to the intermediate circuit and several switching devices (S1-S5) for selectively connecting or disconnecting potentials of intermediate circuit to output of inverter circuit. An independent claim is included for a method of converting direct current voltage of DC voltage sources. |
