The component (100) has a conversion layer (3) forming a secondary source for emitting a secondary radiation. An optically homogeneous reflection layer (i) comprises a face in contact with the conversion layer and another face in contact with an encapsulation layer (2) to form an interface (22) with the encapsulation layer. The reflection layer and the encapsulation layer are arranged such that the interface allows a primary radiation originating from a primary source (1) to pass and the rays of the secondary radiation emitted toward the direction of the interface. The encapsulation layer is made of a material selected among organic polymer including of silicone, epoxy or acrylic resin, or an inorganic material including of glass. An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing an LED component.
