PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an efficient production method of industrially very important amide compounds, and to provide an apparatus for producing amide compound suitable for the production method.SOLUTION: Provided is a method for producing an amide compound using intact cells and/or processed cells of a microorganism containing nitrile hydratase, the method being characterized in that a liquid containing the cells and/or processed cells of the microorganism is fed to a reaction tank 4 by using a positive displacement pump. Also provided is an apparatus for producing an amide compound, which apparatus comprises a cell-storage tank 1 storing the liquid containing the intact cells and/or processed cells of the microorganism, a catalyst-feed pipe 2 connecting the cell-storage tank 1 and the reaction tank 4 and a positive displacement pump provided to the catalyst-feed pipe 2. |
