PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow point service by a point card and a portable terminal device to be selectively usable to improve usability.SOLUTION: A point management device includes a main unit 100 and a radio reader-writer. The main unit 100 includes a card reader-writer 100a that reads unique information recorded in a point card 10 to update a recorded point based on a point that is newly imparted in accordance with a purchase amount. The radio reader-writer performs non-contact communication with a portable terminal device 20 having a non-contact recording medium (RFID chip 20a) on which unique information is recorded to update a recorded point based on a point that is newly imparted in accordance with a purchase amount. The main unit controls that which is used for updating the recorded point, the card reader-writer or the radio reader-writer. |
