PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information input device that enables reduction in a thickness of an entire device, and is easily portable.SOLUTION: A reader device 200 comprises: a pair of detection devices 8; and an exterior cover 400. The pair of detection devices 8 are juxtaposed on right and left sides on a front face of the exterior cover 400 in an open state. A rear face of the detection device 8 comes into contact with a front face of a right side cover part 442 of the exterior cover 400 and is anchored to the front face thereof. A battery attachment part 15 is protrudely provided on the rear face of the detection device 8. In a center of a right side cover part 442, an opening part 447 is provided, and the battery attachment part 15 is arranged with respect to the opening part 447. Via the opening part 447, the battery attachment part 15 is exposed to a rear face side of the right side cover part 442. Therefore, in particular, without detaching the detection device 8 from the exterior cover 400, a battery can be detachably attached. Further, a thickness of the battery attachment part 15 can be absorbed by a thickness of the right side cover part 442 and thus, a thickness of an entire device can be reduced. |
