Disclosed is a power generating apparatus installed to significantly reduce energy consumption due to the generation of power and to actually and almost completely remove the factors of environmental pollution. The disclosed power generating apparatus comprises a cylinder; a superconductive piston installed to be able to move vertically inside the cylinder; an electromagnet installed at the lower side of the piston, magnetically levitating the piston inside the cylinder when applied with electric current, and allowing the piston to move downward by the weight thereof inside the cylinder when the applied electric current is cut off; and a transmission shaft connected to the piston. |
