PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To release a pressure release valve at a proper working pressure.SOLUTION: A case 11 of a secondary battery 10 is composed of: a case body 13 for storing an electrode assembly 12; and a lid 14 which closes an opening 13x of the case body 13. A pressure releasing valve 18 which releases a pressure in the case 11 to the exterior of the case is provided at the lid 14. An annular protruding part 24 and an annular recessed part 27, which enclose an entire periphery of the pressure releasing valve 18, are provided at an outer periphery of the pressure releasing valve 18 in the lid 14. In the lid 14, a thick part which is thicker than a plate thickness of the lid 14 and a thin part which is thinner than the plate thickness of the lid 14 are provided by the protruding part 24 and the recessed part 27. The thick part and the thin part inhibit deformation of the pressure release valve 18 which results from deformation of the lid 14. |
