A lever arch-type filing mechanism is characterized in that the operating lever 1 is detachably connected to an upstanding wall member 18 by means of a headed stud 3 co-operating with a key-hole slot 5, said stud and slot being provided on the lever and upstanding wall respectively, or vice-versa. The upper part of the slot 5 has a surrounding flange to facilitate engagement with the stud. The lever is maintained in position by the usual spring means acting on the underside of the cranked portion 9 connecting the arched posts. An annular projection 26 surrounding the stud, spaces the lever from the wall member. The lever has a U- or V-shaped rib 4, or a projection on one face, which bears against the cranked portion 9. Coloured dished buttons 27 are fitted on flanges 28 at each end of the lever.</p> |
