The present invention relates to an apparatus and a method for testing a GUI using a state based test scenario model. The GUI testing apparatus according to the present invention includes a test scenario edition unit for storing an event of an input unit for changing a node state and a prediction image output from a corresponding node according to performance of the event, creating a test scenario model including at least one test case using the prediction image and the event, and defining a performance order of the test; and a test performance/verification unit for comparing a screen image captured from a terminal-to-be-tested for a node and the stored prediction image according to performance of the event while a test is performed in the terminal-to-be-tested according to the performance order of the test, and providing a test result to the GUI. According to the present invention, a test time for a GUI test can be reduced and an error of a GUI can be easily found. |
