PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotor that increases short circuits in magnetic flux of permanent magnets so as to sufficiently reduce the amount of magnetic flux from the rotor and that increases the efficiency thereof by preventing eddy current, and reducing iron loss, with a simple configuration, and to provide a rotary electric machine having the same.SOLUTION: Length L1 of the width of each arm 17 is formed to be longer than length LX of the width of each arm 17X when magnet holes 18X are arranged approximately at regular intervals in a rotational circumferential direction. A spaceθ1 between adjacent permanent magnets 13a and 13b with first poles thereof facing each other with an arm 17 in between is formed to be larger than a spaceθ2 between adjacent permanent magnets 13b and 13c with second poles thereof facing each other without an arm 17 in between. |
