PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light source for lighting capable of improving the insulation between a charging part located on a substrate and a metal base.SOLUTION: A light source for lighting includes: a long housing 20; a long first base 50 and a long second base 60 which are stored in the housing 20 and are made of a metal; a substrate 11 disposed on the second base 60; and an LED 12 disposed on the substrate 11. A first cutout part 61 and second cutout parts 62 which are formed by cutting out parts of the second base 60 are provided at positions on the second base 60 which overlap with an end edge of the substrate 11.
