PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce strength variation throughout products of Al-alloy-made casting and dimensional variation among a plurality of parts of the product whose sizes should be identical as much as possible, and facilitate an aging treatment of the Al-alloy-made casting, in quenching the Al-alloy-made casting having a product and a feeder head part after casting with a mold.SOLUTION: A method of cooling an Al-alloy-made casting includes a product side showering step of showering a mist-like cooling liquid onto a first surface of the Al-alloy-made casting, and a feeder head part side showering step of showering a mist-like cooling liquid onto a second surface of the Al-alloy-made casting. The feeder head showering step starts the showering onto the second surface of the Al-alloy-made casting after the start and before the completion of the product side showering step so as to, together with the product side showering step, quench the Al-alloy-made casting. |
