<p>A shift control device 10 for a bicycle transmission comprises a mounting member 22 adapted to mount the shift control device 10 to a bicycle; a first lever 28 operatively coupled to the mounting member 22 such that the first lever 28 stops at a plurality of positions corresponding to gear positions of the bicycle transmission, wherein the first lever 28 moves in a first plane; and a second lever 40 operatively coupled to the mounting member 22 for movement in a second plane between a rest position and an operating position such that the second lever 40 returns to the rest position after moving to the operating position.
