PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To maintain the performance of generating attenuation force without any delay from the time of initial operation and to stably exhibit attenuation function, over a long period of time of about the same length as the length of a service life of a building in a vibration control damper for the building.SOLUTION: A selective distribution mechanism 12 having a prescribed selective distribution function is provided in a second rod guide 8. Thereby, when an oil 25 is going to move from a damper chamber S1 to a chamber S2, the movement of the oil 25 in this direction is permitted in the case of the flow speed lower than a reference speed, while it is restrained in this direction in the case of the flow speed higher than the reference speed. Moreover, the movement of the oil 25 from the chamber S2 to the damper chamber S1 is permitted. |
