Solder joint of an electrically conductive solder material comprising at least one substrate, is claimed. The solder material comprises metal and at least one glass material, preferably glass and/or glass-ceramic comprising 68-80 wt.% lead(II) oxide, 10-15 wt.% silicon dioxide, 0-4 wt.% boron trioxide, 0-10 wt.% aluminum oxide, 1-6 wt.% lithium oxide, 1-10 wt.% phosphorus pentoxide and 0-4 wt.% zirconium dioxide. The total weight of lithium oxide and phosphorus pentoxide is 2-15 wt.%. The weights are based on oxide. An independent claim is also included for a solder paste comprising the above solder material.
