PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a secondary battery capable of suppressing a breakage of a negative electrode.SOLUTION: The secondary battery includes an electrolyte as well as a positive electrode and a negative electrode. The negative electrode contains a negative electrode active material layer provided at part of a negative electrode collector. A breaking elongation δ2(%) of the negative electrode collector in a second region where the negative electrode active material layer is not provided is larger than a breaking elongation δ1(%) of the negative electrode collector in a first region where the negative electrode active material layer is provided.
