PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of obtaining high purity t-CHDOC by simple operation from cyclohexane-1,4-dicarboxylic acid cis-trans mixtures which are available in large quantities and at low cost.SOLUTION: A method of obtaining trans-1,4-dicarboxylic acid dichloride comprises thermally isomerizing a mixture of cis-form and trans-form of cyclohexane-1,4-dicarboxylic acid dichloride, to increase the proportion of trans-form in the system, followed by obtaining trans-1,4-dicarboxylic acid dichloride by crystallization. |
