PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a brush which suppresses its temperature rise while contacting with and sliding on an electric connection part which rotates with a rotor of a rotary electric machine.SOLUTION: A brush 100 contacting with a slip ring 30 which rotates with a first rotor 11 of a rotary electric machine 1 includes brush body parts 101a, 101b, and 101c which contact with a slip ring plate 32a of the slip ring 30. The brush body parts 101a, 101b, and 101c have contact surfaces 101a1, 101b1, and 101c1 which contact with the slip ring plate 32a while sliding thereon; side surfaces 101a2 and 101a3, 101b2 and 101b3, and 101c2 and 101c3 which are located adjacent to the contact surfaces; and grooves 101a6, 101b6, and 101c6 formed on the side surfaces. The grooves 101a6, 101b6, and 101c6 are respectively formed at positions away from the contact surfaces 101a1, 101b1, and 101c1. |
