INFLATOR FOR DILATION OF ANATOMICAL PASSAGEWAY

A dilation catheter (1) system is provided to dilate the ostium of a paranasal sinus; or to dilate some other anatomical passageway (e.g., within the ear, nose, or throat, etc.). The dilation catheter system (1) may include a dilation catheter (10), a dilator (14), a guide catheter (70), and an inflator (50). The dilation catheter (10) may be positioned between the dilator (14) and the inflator (50). The guide catheter (70) may be inserted within the affected passageway to allow the dilator (14) to be positioned through the guide catheter (70) and into the affected passageway. The inflator (50) may then be actuated to transfer fluid from the inflator (50), through the dilation catheter (10), and into the dilator (14). The transfer of fluid may inflate the dilator (14) to an expanded state to open or dilate the affected passageway.
