PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a combustion device including flat burners having burner port portions with upper ends long in the longitudinal direction, capable of stopping combustion before generation of CO when there is a sign of oxygen deficiency.SOLUTION: A combustion device includes a combustion housing 1, a space in the combustion housing 1 is partitioned into a combustion chamber 2 and an air supply chamber 3 below the combustion chamber 2 by using a partitioning plate 4, a plurality of flat burners 6 having burner port portions with upper ends long in the longitudinal direction, are arranged in the lateral direction in the combustion chamber 2, and secondary air is supplied to the combustion chamber 2 from the air supply chamber 3 through a number of distribution holes 4a formed on the partitioning late 4. A flame rod 9 is disposed in a state of facing an upper part of a part of the flat burners 6, so that the combustion is stopped when the flame rod 9 does not detect flame generated by combustion of an air-fuel mixture injected from the burner port portions. A supply amount of the air-fuel mixture to the flat burners 6 facing the flame rod 9, is determined to be more than a supply amount of the air-fuel mixture to the other flat burners 6. |
