The valve has a valve lifter (1) that is directed toward a valve passage (15) in a valve seat portion (2). A tubular magnetic core (12) is provided with an armature (11) and is secured at valve housing (5). The electromagnetically initiated traveling direction is acted against a return spring (8) which is centrally arranged in cylindrical valve housing. A plunger is set for operating valve lifter in the region of defined working stroke. The valve housing is provided with a pipe wall which is penetrated in parallel alignment to valve lifter of pressure compensation channel (14).
