<p>A device for press-fitting an oil seal (S) into a structure (A), the oil seal (S) having an affixation section (F), in which a hard ring (R) is embedded, and also having a lip section (L), wherein the device is provided with an air hammer (AH) having a hammer head (1), the hammer head (1) having a pressing section (6) which comes into contact with the affixation section (F) and also having a holding section (7) which comes into contact with the lip section (L), the hammer head (1) forming a space (8) for negative pressure, the space (8) being provided between the pressing section (6) and the holding section (7) at a position between the hammer head (1) and the oil seal (S), the hammer head (1) being provided with an air suction passage (11) which has one end open to the space (8) for negative pressure and which has the other end connected to an air suction means (10). As a result of this configuration, the oil seal (S), which has a complex shape, is reliably sucked and held without deformation and is satisfactorily press-fitted into the structure (A).</p> |
