Method for operating a tri-phase inverter of a converter-fed magnetic bearing

The method involves connecting terminals (20-26) of coils (12, 14) with two outputs (V, W) of a three phase inverter. The coils are linked with a third output (U) of the inverter. A variable control current (2iq) of a converter-fed magnetic bearing is impressed in the third output. A constant premagnetization current (id) of the bearing is impressed in the two outputs of the inverter as a difference of the currents. A transformation angle of a field oriented control of the inverter is hold such that flux forming axis fixedly and constantly displays a phase of the third output in a direction.
