PURPOSE: A method for selecting a paragraph in an e-book environment and a system thereof are provided to supply a UI(User Interface) environment to easily and simply select an image or a paragraph from the reading page. CONSTITUTION: A content database(821) stores and maintains digital content. A content management module(820) provides the digital content to the user terminal according to a user's request. The digital content is displayed on a screen of a touch sensing display included in the user terminal. When a paragraph selection gesture for selecting a paragraph is recognized through the touch sensing display, the displayed digital content displays a paragraph including a word on a selection area according to the paragraph selection gesture based on the word corresponding to an input position of the paragraph selection gesture.
