<p>Provided is a recording device that makes it possible to form a space through which an ink tube that supplies ink from an ink accommodating section to a recording head may pass while minimizing increases in the size of the recording device. A recording means comprises: a recording unit having a head unit that comprises a recording head, said head unit being movable in the scanning direction of the recording head; and a scanner unit that is provided to the upper section of the recording unit and that is capable of opening and closing the upper section of the recording unit. The recording unit comprises: an ink tube that guides ink sent from the ink accommodating section for accommodating ink to the head unit; a gap-forming member for forming a gap between the recording unit and the scanner unit, said gap being of a size that allows the ink tube to pass through and does not block the ink flow path within the ink tube; and a medium-receiving tray having formed thereon an escape section that is arranged so as to avoid a feeding means on the upstream side of a medium discharge direction.</p> |
